Mothers and fathers the world over have dreams for their daughters; for love and happiness, for fulfillment and equality, for peace and prosperity…. But in all too many countries their daughters still have little option but to follow an age old pattern, forced into early marriage and risking death to give birth.

Child-Maternal & Youth Leadership Initiative as a member of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood in Nigeria (WRAN), and the South West Representative on WRAN Board of Directors hosted Sarah Brown and Tonte Ibraye to Lagos on a Primary Health Care visit on the 31th May 2012 at Ikosi Primary Health Care Center.

Introducing Lagos LEADPOC 

Leadership Development for Positive Citizenship (LEADPOC) programme is aimed at youth leaders from various institutions of higher learning and Youth Serving Organization (YSOs) to build the leadership capacity of young people who are catalysts for positive social change. The programme believes that helping young people realize their potential as development actors will create an enabling environment for youth to actively participate in the planning & implementation of development activities in their various communities thereby guarantying sustainability.
